YOU CAN DONATE MEALS TO SARM

A hot meal is served each evening to our guests. Our dining room (shown in the photos) can serve up to 40 men. The evening meal is prepared by SARM staff and served at the completion of the worship service (around 7:45 to 8:00 PM). In addition, a light breakfast (donuts and coffee) is served to the men as they depart the mission each morning. The Mission obtains its food through donations by individuals, companies and churches and by spot purchasing. Our kitchen is well equipped, and includes oven, gas range, microwave, large refrigerator, walk-in freezer, icemaker and high-speed dishwasher.

YOU CAN DONATE CLOTHES TO SARM

The Mission provides a complete change of clothing to our guests as needed. We maintain a large clothing storage area (shown in the photograph) which contains shirts, pants, coats, underwear and socks, and shoes. Our clothing articles are donated to us by both individuals and local churches. We also provide to our guests toiletries including soap, shampoo, toothbrushes and paste. In exchange for clothing, we take soiled men’s clothes and after washing, place these clothes in our clothing storage room for reissue to the men.

The San Antonio Rescue Mission dormitory can house up to 40 men in bunk beds but currently we are limiting the number of men to 25 only. Our dormitory building which was completed in 2005 consists of the sleeping area (shown in the photograph), dining area, kitchen, showers and bathroom facilities, laundry room and two staff quarters.
