We have a new Board President, Vice President and Director. Terry Green is our new President and Terry Warth our new VP.  We appreciate all that John Derochers did as President when he replaced Jake Cherry early last year. Terrie Kamin from Trinity Baptist Church has joined the SARM Board and we welcome her! (See pictures below).

We received a bounty of blessings since mid-February.  The Hot Plate Project, Woodland Church, Trinity Baptist Missions Team and The Bridge class, and Priscilla Lamb all provided wonderful meals. Hot Plate Project provided pasta and salad; Woodland gave great lasagna, veggies and garlic bread sticks; and the Trinity Missions team brought two meals -- eggs, biscuits and gravy with fried potatoes, and the second meal was yummy turkey with trimmings. The Bridge class gave a wonderful Mexican plate of beef enchiladas, beans and rice. Priscilla Lamb gave us a couple of meals --chicken and dumplings and Mexican Picadillo. These awesome meals not only help keep our food costs down but also show the men the love of Christ by preparing and serving delicious meals.

In addition, we received many useful items from our Amazon Wish List such as paper plates, toilet paper, salt and pepper, and coffee. Please consider looking at our list by clicking HERE!

Thanks to everyone who donated!

SARM survived the cold spell with a packed house (up to 35 men) and donations of jackets and sweaters. We have been blessed with many meals and donations since mid-January.  The Trinity Baptist Missions Team provided chicken and rice casserole with broccoli and cheese on Jan. 27th and served another great meal on Feb. 9 which included sausage, rice, beans and macaroni salad.  Rubens Homemade Tamales generously donated 20 dozen tamales and 45 large sodas on Jan. 30!  Priscilla Lamb, David Lamb's daughter, created a magnificent meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy on Jan. 31. Well-stocked hygiene kits were donated by Woodland Church.  One of our homeless guests Adam Barron, gave back to the Mission by providing two dinners of his savory Caldo stew with chicken, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and onions.  This week an anonymous donor gave us 12 racks of pork ribs and 16 roasted chickens along with 48 cans of soda.

SARM is so blessed and we thank God for all that we receive.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED.

Happy Valentine's Day!

The SARM Christmas cards were mailed to all of our donors and nightly preachers this week.  The cards honor Jake Cherry and Alex Simmons who passed this year. Also included was a 2-page letter from our Executive Director, Ron Leonard.

During Thanksgiving week, SARM guests were blessed with a LOT of food.  Turkey and trimmings were provided by the Trinity Baptist Missions team. Two ham meals were given as well.  One was provided by our faithful Thursday night speaker, Mario Martinez and an anonymous donor from Oak Hills Church provided the funds for a Bill Miller ham meal. We also got 200 ham & cheese sandwiches, bottled water and chips from a student group from Holmes High School.  In addition, SARM got seven frozen turkeys!
