Here's what's happened over the last month at San Antonio Rescue Mission
We have had a number of great meals! Our regulars Woodland Church, The Hot Plate Project and Trinity Baptist Missions Team provided awesome meals. Woodland gave us enchilada casserole with pinto beans, watermelon, chips & salsa, cookies, and cupcakes. Hot Plate Project led by Madeline Bonilla brought baked pasta casserole with mixed veggies and bread rolls. The Trinity Missions team led by Terrie Kamin (also a SARM Board member) is bringing two meals a month. One meal was Szechuan chicken over rice with mixed vegetables and cupcakes, and the other meal was scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and bananas. Chef Priscilla continues to provide quality meals to our guests.
A new group called Among the Broken led by Raul Aguilar provided a meal for the first time. Chicken Alfredo, salad, garlic bread, fruit and dessert were provided by this nonprofit charity which helps neglected and marginalized individuals.
An anonymous donor provided 140 pounds of chicken along with coffee and Splenda. One of our regular guests decided to gave back with lots of food items. We continue to receive Amazon Wish List items. Take a look at new items HERE
Our SARM Board of Directors led by President Terry Green had their meeting on Saturday morning and discussed the operations of the Mission and finances. The Board meets quarterly. Recently we added two new speakers to our roster of chapel speakers. We thank the nightly preachers for faithfully coming to preach the Word of God to our men.
Thanks to everyone who came to SARM and donated food or a meal, or to preach the Word.
Most importantly, thank you for your valuable time!

We have a new Board President, Vice President and Director. Terry Green is our new President and Terry Warth our new VP. We appreciate all that John Derochers did as President when he replaced Jake Cherry early last year. Terrie Kamin from Trinity Baptist Church has joined the SARM Board and we welcome her! We received a bounty of blessings since mid-February. The Hot Plate Project, Woodland Church, Trinity Baptist Missions Team and The Bridge class, and Priscilla Lamb all provided wonderful meals. Hot Plate Project provided pasta and salad; Woodland gave great lasagna, veggies and garlic bread sticks; and the Trinity Missions team brought two meals -- eggs, biscuits and gravy with fried potatoes, and the second meal was yummy turkey with trimmings. The Bridge class gave a wonderful Mexican plate of beef enchiladas, beans and rice. Priscilla Lamb gave us a couple of meals --chicken and dumplings and Mexican Picadillo. These awesome meals not only help keep our food costs down but also show the men the love of Christ by preparing and serving delicious meals.
